Fife is well known for its spectacular coastline, picturesque fishing villages and world-famous golf courses, and offers plenty of opportunities for walking, cycling, and fishing. Ceres is a very attractive village with pretty pantile cottages around a central green. It's home to the Fife Folk Museum, cafes, restaurant, pub, shop and a pottery. The village hosts the annual Highland Games on the last weekend in June.
Neighbouring Craighall Den is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) with picturesque woodland walks around a burn. It's one of the largest areas of semi-natural woodland in northeast Fife and the perfect place to enjoy bluebells in the spring.
Craighall Steading is a 15-minute walk from the Fife Pilgrim Way gateway in the centre of Ceres. This 64-mile walking route stretches from Culross or North Queensferry to St Andrews with spectacular views along the way.
There's lots of explore within a short drive including St Andrews (9 miles) and Dundee (15 miles), plus historic attractions including the Secret Bunker, Scotstarvit Tower (Historic Scotland), Hill of Tarvit Mansion and Garden (National Trust for Scotland) and Falkland Palace (NTS).
