Farmers Markets 2024

Farmers markets are a wonderful way to sample fresh Scottish produce from artisan cheeses to seafood, seasonal fruit and vegetables, as well as homemade bread and preserves. Some also have plant stalls and local crafts for sale. Please check with event organisers before travelling to ensure that events are going ahead as planned. Some markets are only open until lunchtime or early afternoon.

South of Scotland

Dumfries Farmers Market  
On the 1st Sunday of the month (except January) plus a pre-Christmas market on the 3rd Sunday in December.

Kelso Farmers Market  
On the 4th Saturday of the month.

Kirkcudbright Farmers' and Producers Market  
On the 4th Sunday of each month (March to December).

Central Scotland

Edinburgh Farmers Market  
Every Saturday all year round on Castle Terrace.

Grassmarket Market  
Food and craft stalls every Saturday in Edinburgh's famous Grassmarket

Leith Market  
Food and craft stalls every Saturday in Leith (Edinburgh)

Stockbridge Market  
Food and craft stalls every Sunday in Edinburgh's Stockbridge area.

Stirling Farmers Market  
On the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month (2nd and 3rd Saturdays in December)

Argyll

Loch Lomond Shores Farmers Market  
On the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month in Balloch.

Perthshire

Perth Farmers Market  
On the 1st Saturday of the month (except January) plus a pre-Christmas market in mid December

Kinross Farmers Market  
On the 4th Saturday of the month from April to November.

Crieff Farmers Market  
Monthly markets in the summer plus a Christmas market on 27th November 2021

Aberfeldy  
On the 1st Saturday of the month from April to October

Pitlochry  
On the 3rd Saturday of the month from April to October, plus a Christmas market in mid December.

Fife and Angus

Cupar Farmers Market  
On the 3rd Saturday of the month.

St Andrews Farmers Market  
On the 1st Saturday of the month.

Dundee Farmers Market  
On the 3rd Saturday of the month (except January)

Forfar Farmers Market  
On the 2nd Saturday of the month.

Bowhouse Market weekends  
Second weekend of each month (except January and February) with local food and drink traders from across Scotland. This undercover market space at Bowhouse is in the East Neuk of Fife between Elie and St Monans.

Montrose Farmers Market  
On the 1st Saturday of the month (except January)

Highlands

Inverness Farmers Market   
On the first Saturday of the month (except January) plus a pre-Christmas market in mid December.

Cairngorms Farmers Market   
Uusually the first Sunday of the month from April to November (in June it's the 2nd Sunday), plus markets at the end of August and the end of November. Local food and drink plus crafts from the Cairngorms area.

Thurso Community Market  
Regular market on the first Saturday on the month, based in the Thurso Royal British Legion showcasing local crafts, gifts, decor and produce.

Aberdeenshire

Aboyne Farmers Market  
On the 2nd Saturday of the month April to October.

Ballater Farmers Market  
On the 4th Saturday of the month from April to November

Banchory Farmers Market  
On the 3rd Saturday of the month.

Braemar Farmers Market  
On the 2nd Sunday of the month.

Ellon Farmers Market  
On the 4th Saturday of the month from March to November

Huntly Farmers Market  
On the 1st Saturday of the month from February to December.

Inverurie Farmers Market  
On the 2nd Saturday of the month.

Stonehaven Farmers Market
