An elegant newly refurbished 5-Star Victorian Villa in the Cairngorms National Park offering views of the Grampian Mountains.

This new boutique B&B in the small town of Kingussie in the heart of the Scottish Highlands is set amidst stunning scenery with plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities and sightseeing. The Viewmount has been extensively refurbished by your host Esther Botha to offer luxurious accommodation with generous hospitality and delicious food experiences. It's perfect for romantic breaks and special celebrations.

There are 3 stylish super king bedrooms upstairs with mountain views, as well as a super king / twin on the ground floor which is wheelchair accessible. Each room has an ensuite with free standing bath and shower, underfloor heating, monogrammed bathrobes, slippers and toiletries. All the bedrooms have a seating area, 55” flat screen SMART TVs, fibre Internet access, complimentary Dalwhinnie whisky, hospitality tray, DIMPLEX electric fireplace and central heating.   
Guests are welcome to relax in the elegant lounge and well-stocked library, as well as the garden. There is off street parking and EV charging.

Food & Drink

Guests are offered tea / coffee on arrival and you are welcome to meet your host and fellow guests at 6.30pm in the lounge for a complimentary drink with finger foods / nibbles.   
Breakfast is served in the Grampian View library with produce from the best local suppliers. In addition to fresh fruit, cereals, yogurt and homemade bread, you can enjoy cooked options such as The Speyside Stalker (with venison sausages) and Kingussie Kingfisher (with smoked salmon) or vegetarian and vegan options.   
The B&B is licenced and offers a selection of top-shelf wines, available to purchase and enjoy on site from the wine cellar. Packed lunches are also available.

Sightseeing & Activities

Local attractions within a short drive include historic Ruthven Barracks, the Highland Folk Museum, Kingussie Golf Course, Dalwhinnie Distillery and the Highland Wildlife Park. You can also visit the Cairngorm Reindeer Herd or take a steam train on the Strathspey Railway. For day trips, you are spoilt for choice with all the distilleries of Speyside to explore and castles such as Ballindalloch, Balmoral, Blair, Cawdor, Urquhart and Brodie.   
The Cairngorms National Park is perfect for outdoor activities such as walking, cycling, hill walking, fishing, horse riding, golf and watersports, plus skiing and snowsports in the winter.   
The west coast is also within easy reach as Fort William and Ben Nevis are just 50 miles away. If you are doing the North Coast 500, The Viewmount is an ideal place to rest after finishing the route in Inverness. There's also the North East 250 scenic driving route through Speyside, the Cairngorms and Royal Deeside to the east coast.   
Kingussie is easy to reach by car via the main A9 Edinburgh to Inverness trunk road. It is 70 miles north of Perth and 40 miles south of Inverness. The town is also on the main east coast train line with daily trains running between Inverness, Edinburgh and London.
