West End Beach House is located in the fishing village of Rockfield, on the Tarbat peninsula which overlooks the Moray Firth, famous for its excellent dolphin and wildlife watching opportunities. The Balintore to Portmahomack coastal path runs right past the house and the North Coast 500 route is just a short drive away.
The B&B is a recently restored Fisherman's cottage which makes the very most of the panoramic views of the Moray Firth and foreshore. One first floor guest room for two people is available with en suite shower room. Guests can enjoy views of the Moray Firth and Cairngorm Mountains from the private upper deck or the guest lounge. Your room is equipped with all modern conveniences such as Superfast Broadband, Sonos, Tassimo as well as underfloor heating and 32" LCD TV. Breakfast features an original menu using many local ingredients, served in a refreshing way. Platters for the evening are also available by prior arrangement.
West End Beach House also uniquely has its own store 'Seaweed n Stuff' which sells jams, preserves, chutneys and relishes made by your hostess using local ingredients including Mara Seaweed. The store also sells jewellery, clocks made from slate by your host and other Scottish handicrafts most of which have a seaside theme.
West End Beach House would suit a number of different visitors with its location being ideal for a long holiday or just a stop off. The dolphins of the Moray and Cromarty Firths are a must see, as are the many whisky distilleries including Glenmorangie and Balblair. Coastal paths and the Cairngorm National Park are great for exploring the Highland wildlife and countryside, with culture to be found at Dunrobin Castle, Royal Dornoch Golf course and The Royal Burgh of Tain.
