The Waterside Rooms occupy a dramatic position right on the shoreline of the Solway Firth, which is both wild and spectacular, even in bad weather. Dornock is at the most southerly border of Scotland and England and is surrounded by historic sites and castles.
One self-contained suite of rooms is available for guests' exclusive use, with a king size bedroom plus the option to sleep two more people with the bed settee in the lounge. The rooms have a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities, and enjoy spectacular sea views. The suite has private access through a side door to the lane. All rooms are on one level but there are a few steps up and down for access.
Breakfast is served in the upper dining room with panoramic views out over the Solway Firth, and includes home made bread, yoghurt and preserves as well as locally sourced produce.
The Waterside Rooms is ideally situated for visitors wishing to explore Dumfries and Galloway, Ayrshire and the borderlands between Scotland and England. Lovers of the sea, wildlife and dramatic scenery will especially enjoy this location. Gretna Green 7 miles. Dumfries 20 miles.
