Built in around 1720, Parkhead House was originally the Gamekeeper's cottage for the Hopetoun Estate. Much of the original character is retained with open fireplaces and views of the adjacent deer park. Parkhead offers 2 Double en suite and 1 Twin en suite bedrooms in the main house. One of the double rooms can be let with an adjacent twin room to create accommodation for a family of four. The bedrooms have Freeview TV, hairdryers, bathrobes, toiletries and views over wooded parkland. Breakfast is served in the Breakfast room overlooking the deer park and includes local organic produce some of which is from the Hopetoun Estate itself.

The area is rich with famous buildings including many that have been used as locations for the popular Outlander TV Series. The proximity of the Queensferry Crossing, Forth Road Bridge and Edinburgh opens up a wealth of day trip possibilities with Stirling, Perth, Falkirk, St Andrews and Dundee. Even Glasgow is reachable in under an hour. Parkhead House is located right on two great long distance walks (The John Muir Way and the Walk of St Andrews) and also offers direct access to over 600 acres of open countryside right on the doorstep.
