Mill House B&B is situated in one of the most southerly parts of the Scottish Borders just 1.5 miles from the English Border. The historic towns of Kelso, Melrose and Jedburgh with their famous Abbey ruins are just a short drive away. Set on the edge of the village of Kirk Yetholm, the house looks out over the Bowmont River.

The property is a family-run, converted 18th century Mill which has been luxuriously developed to provide spacious B&B accommodation. Choose from 5 bedrooms (double, twin or family) which all have an ensuite shower. The Mill Suite also has a bath tub. Guests can also relax in the Drawing room with open fire and balcony. In the warmer weather, you can sit out on the patio. Breakfasts are individually tailored to each guest’s requirements and served with the best of local produce in the spacious Dining Room. Packed lunches can be made by arrangement and are perfect for walkers. There is a drying room for wet clothes, and your hosts can even do your laundry for a small charge.

Mill House is ideal for walkers as it is at the end of The Pennine Way which stretches from the Derbyshire Peak District, through the Yorkshire Dales and Northumberland National Park and into the Scottish Borders. Also nearby is St Cuthbert’s Way Trail (100 km / 62.5 miles) which is a unique walking route from Melrose to Lindisfarne with plenty of history along the way. Your hosts can offer collection / drop off to/from nearby points on these trails.

Mill House is centrally situated for easy access to the historic Border towns and the Berwickshire/Northumberland coastline. This area is perfect for cycling, golf and fishing on the River Tweed. The Glentress 7 Stanes Mountain Biking course is less than an hour away.
