Brookford B&B is located in the Glenkens, on the edge of the Galloway Forest & Dark Skies Park, an undiscovered gem in the heart of Dumfries and Galloway. This region of Scotland was voted Holiday Destination of the Year 2015/16 by Countryfile Magazine. Dumfries and Galloway has many natural and cultural surprises for the visitor and offers a uniquely diverse range of places to visit and explore and all within easy reach.

This modern property offers two, well equipped en suite bedrooms with super-fast fibre optic broadband. Guests can choose from either Super king, Double or Twin sleeping arrangements in calm, tastefully decorated rooms. Guests also have the use of an adjacent lounge/dining room where you can relax and admire the views... views that are extra special at night courtesy of the Dark Skies Park and the restrictions on light pollution. Tea, coffee and home baking are served on arrival and guests can also enjoy a two course evening meal by prior arrangement. Breakfast is served in the dining room looking out over the Galloway Hills where you might also be lucky enough to see Red Kites. Brookford B&B won the Visit Scotland Thistle Award for the 'Most Hospitable B&B' in the whole of Scotland for 2017, so you can be sure of a great welcome. For the third time in 4 years, they are Regional Finalists in the West of Scotland category for the Most Hospitable B&B 2019.
New for 2019: custom-built enclosed hot tub spa in the garden. This log cabin style building faces the Milky Way so guests can enjoy a hot tub session looking at the wonders of the night sky. Guests can also use the adjacent Dark Skies viewing area with special Stargazing chairs and wood burning chiminea.

Located in the middle of the region, there is something to see in every direction, As well as the amazing Dark Skies Park, and Dark Skies Observatory, the Galloway Forest Park offers excellent walking and wildlife watching opportunities. The region is home to 5 of the 7 Stanes Mountain Biking trails and offers a number of other adventurous activities such as Wild Swimming. Drumlanrig and Threave Castles are just a short drive away, as are a number of other significant historic sites.
