Aurora B&B is located in a picturesque village in the North West of the Scottish Highlands, overlooking Loch Shieldaig. The position and outlook is typically Scottish with majestic mountains and blue seas. The area of Shieldaig is a promontory between the sea lochs of Loch Shieldaig and Loch Torridon and is amongst some of Scotlands most iconic scenery.
The area has some of the finest views in Scotland, including, if you are very lucky, the opportunity to see the Northern Lights. The modern house is light and airey. Guests can choose from 3 ensuite bedrooms offering Double, Twin or Triple room sleeping arrangements. Your host is passionate about preserving the local environment and has made several eco-friendly changes to the house, whilst maintaining the comfort for visitors. Breakfast are prepared using local produce e.g venison sausage, homemade bread, yoghurt and preserves. Guests also have the use of a guest lounge and an area of decking.
Aurora would suit those wanting to stay in the remote Highlands. Nature surrounds the B&B with sea eagles on Shieldaig Island, otters, seals & dolphins in Loch Torridon, as well as rare flora and ancient geology. It would also suit those taking a more leisurely trip round the North Coast 500 route who want to spend more time exploring the areas of Torridon, Applecross and Sheildaig as well as sites such as Eilean Donan castle and Inverewe and Attadale gardens.
