Just a few minutes walk from the beach and Carnoustie Championship Golf Course, Park House is an ideal base for golf, walking and sightseeing. Whether you wish to discover Angus, Perthshire or the Kingdom of Fife, there are many places to explore within a short drive or train ride. Your hosts Debbie and Mark can arrange club hire and book tee times for you at local golf courses.
This luxury boutique bed and breakfast offers a choice of 4 ensuite rooms which can be made up with either a superkingsize bed or twin beds. All rooms have ensuite power showers and one bedroom also has a Jacuzzi bath. One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor (no stairs).
Guests can relax in the lounge which has an open fire, TV, DVD, books and games. During the summer months, you can sit outside in the large garden which has seats and a summer house. Enjoy a full Scottish breakfast including haggis and black pudding from the local butchers, or try out the fish selections including local Arbroath smokies or Scottish smoked salmon. Exclusive use of the house can be arranged.
Park House is just 3 minutes walk from the railway station which has regular trains to Dundee, Perth, Aberdeen and Edinburgh. It's easy to reach the fishing town of Arbroath (famous for its smokies), as well as the City of Dundee with the new V&A Museum which has a diverse calendar of exhibitions, events and activities throughout the year. Historic attractions to visit in this area include Glamis Castle, J M Barrie's birthplace, The House of Dun, Barry Mill, St.Vigeans Pictish carved stones, Arbroath Abbey, RRS Discovery, Scotland's Jute Museum and the V&A (Dundee).
As well as being a great area for golfers, there are lots of walking and cycling routes in the region. The Angus Glens, Fife Coastal Path and the Pilgrims Way are all within a short drive.
