Events in Scotland

There is a huge variety of opportunities for seeing and participating in all sorts of events across Scotland throughout the year.
- Traditional Highland Games are held all over Scotland throughout the summer months from the small village events to the huge and historic Highland Games like the Lonach and Braemar Gatherings where famous celebrities watch the march of the Lonach men or the Queen and her family at Braemar. They all have opportunities for all the family to join in the fun.
- Golf tournaments abound across every area, as well as food fairs and farmers’ markets in many towns throughout the year. The Royal Highland Show near Edinburgh or the more local shows like Turriff in the North East are held during the summer months.
- There is something for everyone with book and whisky festivals; art exhibitions; walking festivals and the enjoyment of traditional languages like the Doric festival and the Gaelic Mod.
Staying in any of Scotland’s Best B&Bs will let you be near many events to be enjoyed throughout Scotland by everyone in 2010.
